AExPI is the acronym for "Associação dos ex-alunos do Prof. Pitanguy" (the Alumni Association of Prof. Pitanguy).

This association was founded in 1974, and represents a common interest of former students, graduated over the last 30 years, spread around the world. This a non-profitable organization that has the following objectives:

	To promote and stimulate medical and scientific knowledge, especially in the field of plastic surgery;
	To defend the interests, and promote the union, of its members;
	To study and divulge, together with the Ivo Pitanguy Study Center the surgical techniques adopted by the service;
	To create a forum for the discussion of ethics in medicine, especially as regards plastics surgery;
	To promote scientific meetings, in Brazil or overseas.
